Preston Woodall House - AMAZING!!!

by BBLASS

The Preston Woodall House was AMAZING!!! Food, customer service and the facility was first class. I was fortunate enough tp be married at the Preston Woodall House on May 10, 2009. It will be incredible memories to last a lifetime.

After reading the "Professional Photographers" review below I felt compelled to write my own review. I am a groom that got married at the Preston Woodall House on Sunday May 10, 2009. First and foremost a "professional photographer" should never personally attack people in a review... it totally takes away their credebility, is unprofessional and dissapointing. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Diane at the Preston Woodall House, she was our INCREDIBLE cordinator, and my wife and I have to say she made our experience truly wonderful. The comments by the "professional photographer" below about a Waffle House waitress is totally inaccurate and mean spirited. I can assure you Diane was one of the most professional polished event managers we had ever seen. The other manager that this photographer was apparently speaking about is Patrick. His creativity, hard work and willingness to do whatever it took to make our day special was very evident. For the record, during our planning we got to know both of these employees above and they were absolutely wonderful, professional and pros at what they do.

We also had the experience of PHENOMINAL food at the Preston Woodall House. We sat with Joel (the owner) for our food tasting and his expertise with menus, customer service and great personality made the entire experience better than we could have ever imagined. My wife and I can not imagine why the "professional photographer" below sounded so bitter other than the fact that his HUGE EGO was damaged when the staff was trying to do their job and not cater to his demands. It also sounds like he is making excuses for his pictures being average... ours are amazing!!!

Again... the customer service, food and facility were one of a kind AMAZING!!! Thank you Preston Woodall House for making our dreams come true.

Photographers review

by MarkPhoto

This is a pro photographers review for the house. I’ve been a wedding photographer in the triangle area for the pass five year. I have shot at all the major and small wedding/reception locations. The house is wonderful and many small hidden location to photograph the bride/groom. I would have to say the wedding timing is on the money.

That’s a plus for the photographer. We have no time to spare

Now my gripes, as any bride knows the photographer will be with you from getting ready to your big exit. He/She does not stop and no a time to waste. We have to coordinate, be creative and social. On top of making sure no shots are missed. I have photograph five weddings at the house. The management has always been very rude and un-friendly to me. If it’s a full service dinner expect not to eat unless you count scraping left over for the appetizer table. I have maybe five minutes to eat. I’ve asked for a plate my plate before and was told, “Let see what we have left”!!! Wow, I charge $3000-$5000 for my service and I have to beg for food that’s in the contract. The photographer has been with the bride/groom the whole day. I’m sure he/she is hungry too. The staff is great but the management a husband and wife teams are not nice. The husband never smiles, I think he’s a cop or maybe ex-military who never really left that behind. You know this type which is fine but not for a wedding reception house. The wife reminds me of server you would fine at Waffle House 12am after you left the Preston House hungry. She is a control freak who will cut you if you cross her. Which is fine but not for your wedding reception. They treated me like I was there employee. To all photographers, don’t show weakness to the management. For brides, before you hire that $4000 photographer to shoot your wedding at the Preston House make sure he is treat well by the management. Your wedding images may suffer

  • Pros: Beautiful house, great place to photograph, timely coordinat
  • Cons: Dull and diner style service, so so food, unhappy management

TIME OF OUR LIVES......

by amhappy615

My expectations were very high.........but were exceeded! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...........

Several comments I have received - one neighbor said he had never been to such an elegant and well orchestrated event (formerly he was on the board for the state community college system) - another neighbor, the event coordinator for Campbell Law School, she said she had found a hidden gem and would check with you before scheduling events at her usual venues.......and the positive comments continue.

  • Pros: EVERYTHING IS GREAT
  • Cons: NO CONS
