Charming, Food tastes GREAT!
I went here for the first time last night. What a CHARMING place! I loved everything about it, I really did. And no, I don't work here, nor am I being paid to say this, lol. I love the torches outside, the colors inside, the artwork, the antique looking tables, the pleasant staff, and the FOOD! They know what tastes good. The meat is actually tender and not overcooked. Veal can be if-y... it was good here. The tirimisu was moist and full of flavor. The bread was PHENOMENAL! They add garlic to the butter. I could have had a meal on their bread alone.
Okay, this is now my favorite place.
Really Enjoyed It. My wife, daughter, and I made our second trip to Babymoon this weekend (our previous visit was last year). Both times, we received excellent service! The bread was tasty. Both times, we had bruschetta...it was outstanding! There are so many items on the menu that I wanted to try....guess I'll have to go back!
Older Reviews Should be deleted. I was on an out of town assignment for over a year and made it a point to visit Baby Moon at least once a week. I was never disappointed in the food, the service or the atmosphere. Consistency is so important to restaurant diners, especially when out of town. Baby Moon has passed the muster on that every time for over a year. I strongly recommend it! You will not be disappointed. Earlier reviews from the previous owner should not be included in these reviews. It hurts the diners and the restaurant!
a favorite!. The first time I ate here I was lucky enough to choose the steak and caesar sandwich, which is delicious! unfortunately though, i havent tried anything else because it's too hard to pass up, and not to mention cheap (like $8). I work in RTP and often eat here, its a great little place!
Nice Atmosphere, Good Service. We just recently moved from Ct. We found this cute little restaurant really close to airport. Food was delicious and service was very good. Loved the decor.
Easy to find, nice atmosphere, great food. We were on our way from Florida to Michigan and were unfamiliar with the area. Babymoon was recommended by friends and was easy to find. We enjoyed a great dinner served by professionally trained staff. It was a memorable evening, and I would highly recommend Babymoon.
Thoroughly un-impressed.
I guess I should start this review by saying I'm probably very difficult to please. I tend to be biased by getting decent service and "doing the right thing" by their customers when I review someplace. Even if I have a great meal. my review will have a negative slant if, for example, someone at the next table ordered the exact same thing and got twice as much food, or if I have to explain what I want four times because the person taking my order was busy talking to their co-worker behind the counter instead of paying attention to a customer.
I've worked near Babymoon Cafe for 3-years now. In that time, several of my colleagues have suggested it for lunch, so I thought I'd try it today. Simple enough, I thought - run in for a sandwich to take out. I went to their website before I drove over, and knew exactly what I wanted.
When I walked in, it was lunchtime, but not terribly busy. I walked up to the take-out counter, and grabbed a take-out menu while I waited to be greeted. I knew what I wanted, but figured it would give me something to do while I waited. It only took a minute or so before someone appeared asking if they could help me. This was long enough to realize that all of the sandwiches on the menu, including the one I wanted, were priced $1-$2 higher than the prices I had seen on the website. In any case, I told him what I wanted, and after 15-20 seconds of studying the cash register, he asked one of his co-workers, "hey, where is a submarine hero on this thing".
His friend replied "we don't make those anymore".
"But, it's right here on your take-out menu", I pointed out.
"Those menus are really old", came the friend's response.
Not really in the mood for anything else, particularly the attitude the second guy seemed to have, I left for an old favorite - the deli down the street (in the back of a gas station) where I can always count on a fresh, stuffed sandwich at half the price that I saw on the "really old" take-out menu
Fabulous new owners. My husband and I were on the last day of a weeklong trek through the Carolinas when we spotted Babymoon Cafe from the road. Attracted by the outdoor seating, we were immediately approached by a friendly young man who went out of his way to quickly accommodate our beverage needs and steer us toward a scrumptious bruschetta. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was attractive and the reduction sauce was to die for. Our friendly, accommodating server turned out to be one of the new owners. Before long, we were enjoying a wonderful conversation with him and his business partner under the warm Morrisville sun. They not only sold us on Babymoon Cafe, but on a quick return trip to the Raleigh area. If you're near the airport and looking for a great place to eat and drink, visit Babymoon. You won't be disappointed.
Don't go waste your money!.
So disappointed! Waited for an hour for the worst steak I have ever eaten. Cold, raw, just too many things going with it and the potatoes were just strange.
Do yourself a favor and anywhere else, I am not joking. I may have been there on an off night but everyone at my table agreed. One plus, the waitress was extremely nice.
Excellent food, receives about a 90 out of a 100... only because I've been to other countries where you can find better food than anwhere in America..
Just wait until it gets really hot out this Summer and you will see the sidewalk tables full at lunch time. That is a testament to how good the food is. I have been eating there for years and the folks are really great. The owners are friendly to all. My office is right next door and everyone I work with is in love with the place.
Great food and suprisingly great atmosphere for its location (It's located in Morrisville... What a lamo town! only because it's under seige by yankees) Nonetheless, Babymoon is certainly a great place to eat, hands down.
