Raleigh >Carolina Cinemas Raleigh Grande 16
The best theater in Raleigh. This theater is great for everyone. Has kid shows in the summer and you can have your child's birthday party there. Which makes it very family friendly. On the other hand, you can buy beer or wine which is great for an older crowd.
Under new management. Hey everyone for those who have been disheartened by your last visit to the Grande please stop by and give us another shot. We have recently undergone a management change and are striving to train all employees that customer service is number one! We are also going through the building and trying to pull the small repairs back to like new condition. We have added a lot of neat things that you wont find at other multiplexes. We serve a wide range of beer starting at $3.00 and serve Orville Redenbacher popcorn. Along with vitamin water, alternative baking company cookies and lots more! We also run Mon-Thurs concession specials and to top it off we have a new rewards card. We are also working on making one theatre into an indie/art film house to bring you the latest in all art film. We do pre-open midnights every Thursday and actual late shows(past 11:30PM) every Friday and Saturday! So come check us out at raleighgrande, com!
No LIFE!!!!!. I like this theatre but whoever wrote the deception review seriously has no life. I mean come who really has enough time in there day to think of that. Seriously!!!!
not nice employees. I called the cinema for a movie listing. Wanted to know how long the movie would be in the cinema. Female would not volunteer to answer me. I had to ask her to answer me. She did in a rude way. I went not to that cinema to see the movie.
This is not a review of the theater since I haven't been, but it is a review of the rating system used by Citysearch. According to my browser, the Raleigh Grande Cinema has an average rating of 4.5 stars, but if you look at the individual reviews you have:
3 reviews x 5 stars = 15
2 reviews x 4 stars = 8
2 x 3 = 6
3 x 2 = 6
2 x 1 = 2
3 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 2 = 12 reviews
15 + 8 + 6 + 6 + 2 = 37 stars
37/12 is approximately equal to 3 stars, so why does citysearch have a 4.5 average?
Repress those feelings of anti-chain animosity and give in the to the pleasures of the multiplex..
The Grand has quickly endeared itself to the North Raleigh movie crowd. Offering 16 screens (two with the Dolby Digital EX sound system), this multiplex allows filmgoers to take in major Hollywood releases in a truly comfortable environment. The biggest advantage to catching a flick at the Grand is that each theater has stadium seating, which means you'll never have to sit behind a big-headed goon again or miss the credits due to the exiting masses.
Movies on Lynn. I have not been to this theater as of yet, but it seems pretty standard. I will let you know about my experience when I get there.
theater seating. it was the clean theater in Raleigh... but has fallen into slight disrepair. The theater floors are kept swept, but the paint on the walls and "balcony-side" seats is peeling.
Average but comfy theatre, still no listings.
Movieminder & Citysearch rarely have RG's listings, because they don't bother to send updates. Parking is so small it's dangerous, and the speed bumps will rattle your teeth. Movies are typically overpriced for local chains. Concessions are not very good, and still overpriced. Still the worst popcorn in Raleigh - Even the $1.50 theatre is better. Sound/lights are ok, but nothing to write home about. Screens are small, but big enough for the small rooms.
On the other hand, it's very convenient, and has VERY comfortable stadium seats. Bathrooms are usually clean (love the jet powered hand dryers). Has consistently the best movies of the current crop (although they did show that FarenHypeMrMoore thing). People are friendly and helpful, and the ambience is nice.
You have no better choice. Start crying.. This is one of the better cinemas in Raleigh. That said, Raliegh really needs a good cinema. I do my best to see movies when I go back to Charlotte. The quality of the theaters there is far superior. The sound leaves much to be desired. Surround sound is more like Surfront sound. I can't help but to be reminded every few minutes that I am watching a movie, even when watching the very best movies. Go here until they build a better one.
